Your gas mileage will improve by 1-2 percent when you use the recommended grade of motor oil. You can also look for motor oil that says “Energy Conserving” on the API performance label.

Everyone knows that it’s dangerous to be an aggressive driver. But did you know it wastes gas as well? In fact, it can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent at highway speeds and by 5 percent when driving around town. Also, most cars reach their optimal fuel economy between 50 and 60 mph. After 60 mph your fuel economy drops drastically, so it’s safe to assume that speeding is not only dangerous, it’s expensive.
